This microcredential offers Education majors and others the opportunity to increase their knowledge and skills to teach MLs or work with multilingual populations in other capacities. The microcredential indicates a higher level of preparation and the valuable contributions these students will make to their schools and communities in the future.

Students seeking an English as a Second Language (ESL) teaching license should consult the School of Education for more information on the elementary-middle and TESOL education, English and TESOL education, French and TESOL education, and Spanish and TESOL education programs.
- Students must earn a minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA in the microcredential's coursework.
- All credits required for the microcredential must be resident (UWL) credits.
